Al-Shifa Trust launches dynamic service structure for employees
|
The exercise of revamping of service structure of Al-Shifa employees was going on since more than six months. Now after thorough input from all stakeholders, it has been finalized and will be effective from July 01, 2007. The salient features of service structure are:
A three-tier promotion policy which ensures that everyone who comes on merit is promoted to higher scale after every four years and at the end of 12 years will have equal chance of competing for top slot in that cadre.
The yearly increment and pay scales have also been revised keeping in mind the current price hike and inflation.
This policy is entirely performance based. The supervisors and managers are exclusively made responsible for the performance of their junior colleagues, failing which, they have to suffer the fall out as well.
Incentives and awards for good performance have been institutionalized. At a recently held gathering of Al-Shifa Employees, President of AST distributed cash awards and certificates amongst its hard-working employees. The awards went to best staff nurse, Ms. Afsana, best waiter (Mr. Riaz), best assistant supervisor (Mr. Tajarab of accommodation deptt), best driver (Mr. Riaz) and best technician (Mr. Khalid Mughal)
