The second phase of 10 years master plan appeared in the form of this unique eye hospital at Sukkur. President of Pakistan, General Pervaiz Musharraf on 23rd June '2000, inaugurated this 150-bed hospital. This hospital will serve the population of southern Punjab, interior Sindh and adjoining areas of Baluchistan.
The hospital is a tertiary eye care center with all the latest facilities for eye treatment available. The hospital is not only providing facilities to patients who are visiting the hospital but has started to cater for people of adjoining rural community by sending teams of doctors to the door steps of people. Gradually different training courses will also be started for paramedics and doctors.
